Learn How to Grind Your Cannabis Buds Without a Grinder

No one can not deny the benefits and advantages of a cannabis grinder. But it is not the only way to break up your cannabis. Today, we are going to discuss some of the best methods to break up cannabis without using a cannabis grinder.

People who smoke cannabis know how helpful a grinder is for having a perfect cannabis smoking session. This is true, no matter if you are using cannabis for recreational purposes or medical purposes. However, to buy medical cannabis, you will need to get a medical marijuana card. This card allows you to buy cannabis with higher potency to manage your condition. But when it comes to smoking cannabis, everyone wants to have a perfect smoking session. This requires you to prepare everything in advance for it.

What if you have your cannabis and are ready for your smoking session, but then you can not find your grinder anywhere? Well, no need to feel discouraged. There are many different methods to break up your cannabis without using a grinder. Read along to learn about them.\

Method 1. Breaking up Your Buds Using Your Fingers

Sometimes you need to go back to basics to get the solution. This is one of the most common and old school methods to break up your cannabis without a grinder. This way of breaking up cannabis is also very simple. You simply have to make a bowl-like shape with your one hand. Then use the other hand to start picking away at your cannabis to break them apart.

However, you will have to deal with the resin that builds up around your hand when you use this method. You can grab a credit card or keys to scrape this resin off your hands. Then smoke it in a joint or bong to get an extra kick. This is also one of the most traditional and oldest methods for making hash.

Breaking down cannabis with your hands is a very rewarding experience. You get close to your cannabis and get personal with the unique aroma of your buds. If you don’t wish to deal with the resin that builds up on your hands, you can use parchment paper. Just place the pieces of parchment paper between your hands to use them as barriers between your hands and cannabis.

Method 2. Break up Your Cannabis Using Scissors And a Shot Glass

If you are not willing to get your hands dirty while breaking apart your buds, choose this amazing method! This is one of my favorite methods to break up larger cannabis buds. You just need scissors and a shot glass for this. Simply place your cannabis buds in the glass and then use your scissors to start chopping away your cannabis. This is a tedious method but will give you really nice and evenly cut cannabis for your perfect smoking session.

There are two main advantages of using a shot glass –

  • A shot glass has high walls that help in stopping any cannabis from falling out while you are chopping.
  • The second advantage of a shot glass is that it has a small diameter. This helps in confining your cannabis, which makes it easier to cut through cannabis buds.

But if you can not find a shot glass, you can make use of any other regular glass or container. You just have to tilt the container on an edge, which will bunch your buds together nicely. You also have to pay attention to any pieces that might fly out while you are chopping.

Method 3. Using a Clean Coin And Container

For this method, you need a clean coin and a solid container to break apart even the toughest cannabis buds. Make sure that your container is sturdy. Put your cannabis inside the container and then drop the clean coin inside it as well. Seal the lid, and start giving the container a good shake.

The coil will thrash around the container and tear through your buds. This method will help in breaking apart even dense and sticky buds.
